Training for sports

By Michael Re
Training is ideal in sports in order to be physically able to perform them. Being more athletic than the opposing players is a huge advantage. For example, in basketball, being able to jump high is very important because you can dunk, block more shots, and outrebound the other players.

In a sport like football, strength and speed are crucial. Coaches make sure their players get well prepared during the offseason. Different tools such as the agility ladder can help with speed and agility, which is important especially for running backs to be able to avoid tackles and outrun the defense. Strength is important for everybody, but especially the linemen because it is their job to protect the quarterback and pave a path for the runningback
